• Program Director for an Environmental Advocacy Non-Profit near Yosemite

The Central Sierra Environmental Resource Center (CSERC) serves on the front lines of advocacy to protect water, wildlife, and wild places of the vast Northern Yosemite region. CSERC seeks an enthusiastic and effective candidate who is passionate about wanting to make a meaningful difference.

Located in Twain Harte, California, CSERC's small office serves as the base for advocacy efforts on often-controversial environmental issues. The staff reviews planning documents, submits comments, and testifies in response to projects, plans, and policies. Staff participates in stakeholder collaborative processes, attends countless meetings, and supports grassroots activists.

Initially the selected candidate will assist the Executive Director with CSERC's advocacy, fieldwork, public speaking, fundraising, finances and grant-writing, website work, and media outreach.

Over the first year, the Program Director will transition to increasing responsibility for carrying CSERC's mission forward. This is an opportunity to take on demanding, rewarding work and to be mentored to assume a leadership role.
