• Degree Coordinator and Lecturer of Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism

The University of Wyoming (UW) invites applications for Degree Coordinator and Lecturer of Natural Resource Recreation and Tourism (NRRT), a proposed interdisciplinary degree program at UW. The NRRT Degree Coordinator will join the UW community as an Academic Professional Lecturer (non-extended term) and will report to the Academic Director of the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources. The Degree Coordinator will work with faculty and staff in the Haub School, the College of Business and other partners within the UW community, as well as with partners in the private sector and Wyoming's community colleges, to coordinate the creation of an NRRT degree. Working in collaboration with the above entities, the Degree Coordinator will lead curriculum planning, design and teach courses, manage relationships, and oversee the establishment of this proposed degree.

We seek an accomplished and creative coordinator to establish this proposed University of Wyoming degree, which will be housed in the Haub School of Environment and Natural Resources in partnership with the College of Business. The degree will emphasize entrepreneurial and business management skills, human dimensions of natural resources, environmental science, and outdoor skills. The successful candidate will have training and expertise with the theory and practice of recreation and tourism disciplines and have demonstrated teaching, organization, and communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications

- Masters level degree
- At least two (2) years of experience and training related to recreation and/or tourism curriculum and skills development; and
- At least two (2) years of teaching experience that integrates broad perspectives and approaches
